All about Dragon’s blood.

All about Dragon’s blood.

Dragons blood doesn’t just sound cool as a name. The dry, deep red ingredient has been used as a staple in many recipes since ancient times.

What is Dragon’s blood?

It is a resin that comes from the calamus genus tree, native to Asia, Africa, and Australia. Dragon's blood has been used as dye, painting pigment, and medicine for respiratory and gastrointestinal problems for centuries. Over time it has advanced from modest folk healing uses into becoming a popular health supplement. Here at Rune + Fae, I tend to use it for two main purposes: skin cell regeneration and auric field cleansing.

Studies have shown that dragon’s blood has the ability to promote skin tissue regeneration. Before modern medicine, it was used to reduce inflammation topically and prevent skin infections—proving its usefulness in wound care. This is why I recommend the dragons blood series to reduce the appearance of scars, and to wash wounded skin. It also has the potential to offer protection for healing wounds from harmful dirt and bacteria.

All in all, dragons blood ultimate promotes the general health of your skin. And like all resin’s it can help with skin elasticity and issues like scars and blemishes.

If that wasn’t cool enough, lets also consider the more metaphysical uses of dragon’s blood. It is commonly used as a main ingredient in incense for a reason. When this resin is dried and burned, not only does it create a pleasant aroma and a peaceful atmosphere, but it also helps restore the users auric field as well.

Your auric field is an extension of your person. We each have an energetic field that exudes from your body. Think of it as your own body’s atmosphere. Sometimes when we walk around all day in different spaces and engage in various activities, our auric field can become heavy and tired. We have the ability to take on other people’s energy and let it hang around too long. This can contribute to negative thoughts and low energy that may not even be your own. There are a good number of ways to cleanse your auric field using dragons blood, one even being smudging the incense around your body and home. But my personal favorite way to clease the auric field is with a warm bath or shower using soap made with oils infused with dragons blood resin.

From a metaphysical point of view, dragon’s blood repels negative energy and repels baceria and from a physical one. Do you see the pattern here? It promotes healing and regeneration, and can also be used as a form of protection. This is why our products have more than one purpose, and every product is carefully formulated with this intention.
